Visual Inspection Services

ACI Technologies employs personnel that are Master IPC Trainers and Certified IPC Trainers for all IPC inspection standards. The services of these highly qualified instructors are available to perform inspections on bare printed boards, soldered electrical assemblies, and wire harness and cable assemblies. ACI can act as a referee between a supplier and a user that disagree on the acceptability of an item. Inspection services can include a detailed technical report that can be presented to suppliers or customers with full explanations of defects and their potential effect on the quality and reliability of the part in question. ACI can also make personnel available to perform source inspections at a supply partner’s manufacturing location.

X-Ray Inspection

ACI Technologies can provide x-ray inspection services for a number of circumstances. The most common is inspection of soldered BGA components where inspection focuses on voiding levels in the solder joints as well as ensuring proper connections between the BGA component and the PCB are present. X-ray can also be used to determine features that may not be visually inspectable, such as amount of solder fill in some plated through holes or stranded wire insertion depth in a cup terminal.
