About the Job

ACI Technologies, Inc., a dynamic mid-sized technology company specializing in electronics manufacturing R&D, is seeking an experienced, high energy technical manager to lead the overall research and developments efforts of assigned technical resources towards the development and deployment of electronics manufacturing process technology. This is a highly technical position responsible for maintaining the highest level of technology innovation and discovery related to the evolving electronics research agenda supporting many DoD systems.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, and direction related to ongoing and future projects including technical staff planning, organizing, and controlling assigned resources to accomplish objectives.
  • Develop technical strategies, standards, roadmaps, and technical reports for the company to remain state of the market in electronics manufacturing technologies.
  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships within DoD program offices related to the company’s activities.
  • Develop and manage assigned R&D projects for technical progress and cost accumulation consistent with the project plan milestones and budget targets.
  • Utilize earned value measurement metrics to measure the effectiveness of cost and schedule progress against the plan.

  • Prepare and present technical project information to customers, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Interact closely with the Program Director on technical approaches and programmatic requirements and issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • M.S. in an engineering discipline (electrical, materials, or systems) that supports technical objectives plus 10 years of related experience.
  • Record of proven excellence in a technical discipline with an ability to solve complex engineering challenges in electronics technology and associated manufacturing improvements.
  • Knowledge and experience in defense-related government contracting.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and presentation skills and a well-organized approach to technical solutions and execution are essential.
  • Strong networking capability to develop and enhance government customer relationships.

+ Senior Digital Design Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

About the Job

The candidate for this Senior Engineer position will be a key contributor to several ongoing and in-plan digital design activities. The candidate will be involved in all technical aspects of the design and development activities for a variety of power supply architectures and military / DoD applications. The candidate will be required to follow and conduct to a regimented design process to include the following: engineering trade studies, hardware requirements analysis, derivation, review, and flow-down, conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs, circuit analysis modeling, and simulation, and breadboard and first article verification and validation testing.

Experience Requirements:

  • Design of cutting-edge digital control circuitry
  • Design of AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC and 3-phase power circuitry
  • Design of high-frequency switch mode power supplies and related components
  • Working knowledge of digital / RF hardware circuit interfaces, and associated functionality.
  • Implementation of feedback control systems, both analog and digital.
  • Design of new, high-efficiency, power conversion and circuits including power factor correction, resonant and soft-switching inverters (at power levels from tens to hundreds of Watts with switching frequencies up to the MHz range)
  • Spice analog circuit simulation and modeling
  • PCB CAD (design and layout)
  • Test and debug of power circuity and assemblies
  • Working knowledge of applicable MIL-STDs, such as Mil-Std-704 and Mil-Std-461

General Requirements:

  • Minimum education of B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD-issued security clearance
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in digital electronics design
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas of analog circuit design, digital circuit design, and power supply design
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to interact with customers and suppliers
  • Have strong written and oral communications skills, and a desire to provide technical support for proposal activities
