PCB Qualification

ACI provides comprehensive testing to ensure incoming bare board quality. Poor vendor quality is a leading cause of latent assembly failure. Bare board quality can vary from lot to lot resulting in open and short circuits, poor solderability, decreased yield, increased costs. ACI reduces the risk of costly PWB failures by thoroughly investigating each lot of bare circuit boards. Typical bare board evaluations include investigating:

• Conductor and laminate dimensions
• Solderability
• Through-hole drilling and plating
• Surface finish
• Fabrication quality

Third party PCB qualification ensures that the delivered product meets the fabrication requirements specified in the assembly drawings and exhibits good quality.

ACI performs evaluations on board samples or test coupons and utilizes IPC-6012A, J-STD 003, and IPC-A-600F or customer specific test criteria.
